Amaziah king of Judah, had little confidence in God. Faced with the Edomites, he realized that his army was too weak, then recruited a hundred thousand men of war for a hundred talents of silver (2 Chronicles 25:6). A prophet came to tell him to rely more on God, "because God is the power, or to help or to overthrow" (v. 8). Then Amaziah said: "What, then, do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel?" (V. 9). "The man of God" gave this beautiful answer: "The Lord can give you much more than this. "
As a Christian need to believe those words throughout my life. For example, you might get a promotion economically advantageous, but the work would be so engrossing that it would be for me a spiritual weakening. Then will choose to prioritize my life to God and service, making sure that he can give me much more than "lost." If a slight infraction of the truth of life provide me what to do? I decide to tell the truth.
could give time and money for God's work, but would not it be wiser to save? I need to hear again: "The Lord can give you much more than this. "
never will of God our debtor, because their resources are infinite. He says: "I am God." "Mine is the world and its fullness" (Psalm 50:7, 12). Trust God and thank Him for everything He gives us.
My God,
supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus
